The Legacy of Roger Nissenbaum
At the heart of VideoOttawa.ca is Roger Nissenbaum, a fluently bilingual producer and director with a career spanning over 40 years in high-level media and broadcasting.
Roger’s journey began with a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, leading to a distinguished 25-year career with CBC/Radio-Canada. His expertise was forged in the high-pressure world of daily news, current affairs, and major international events. Notably, Roger served as a Senior Public Relations Officer for the 1976 Montreal Olympics (ORTO), where he managed global media relations and helped coordinate the worldwide transmission network for the Games.

In 1986, Roger founded his own production company to bring broadcast-quality standards to the private sector. Since then, he has combined his technical mastery of the Mac platform and non-linear editing with a creative vision that has served government institutions, national corporations, and local families across Ontario and Quebec.
